Understated Elegance
The garden seamlessly combines both an earthy ambiance and luxury-class comforts.
Mikko had a humble desire for a "seven-star garden," providing ample space for relaxation and quality time with family and friends. The goal was to extend the modern aesthetic of the house into the outdoor areas while prioritizing low maintenance, considering Mikko's busy lifestyle.
The sloped garden was thoughtfully divided into two distinct sections. The lower area of the garden focuses on various activities and includes a spacious terrace, an oval-shaped lawn, and amenities such as a cooking and dining space, along with a relaxing Drop pool. In contrast, the upper section of the garden has a more natural feel, highlighted by a stylish fire pit nestled among rocks and boulders, creating a cozy gathering place as the evening sets in. The harmonious blend of different shapes and materials across the garden areas creates a calming and ethereal overall design.
